Surrender To Your Passion!
In a world where everyone wants to be in control, the idea of surrender may be a bit hard to swallow...
Just think about what it means:
To let go of control...To submit with complete trust...To open yourself...Accepting on faith...Having no resistance...
This is a powerful state of mind and for some people it may be controversial.
We are going to examine surrender as a process which is directly affected by the intensity of your passion.
First let's start with this premise:
Passion is long-term energy...
I am convinced that too many people still think passion is an emotional high. No, it's way more than that. Real passion creates a willingness to pursue a course of action in your life which requires full immersion on your part. Do you know what full immersion is? Have you ever experienced it before? Full immersion means that you just don't put your toes in the pond, you jump in and completely submerge yourself. Immersion means full commitment of yourself and your resources to a single purpose...
Now, honestly, how many times have you done that in your life?
This is where surrendering comes in. Remember, I said it was a process...A process of letting go. To be able to accept a new possibility is a step by step process. It begins with an interest, and an inkling we refer to as passion. Passion is the way our inner-self communicates to our mind and body that it is moving in the right direction. The direction I'm talking about is your lifestyle and the life path it put you on. You feel complete and fulfilled when you life is moving in the right direction.
You experience an overall passion for your life..
In other words, you love your life. The life you are living makes you feel alive and complete. Therefore you willingly eliminate all resistance to the life your are living. This is the "place" most of us want to get to...Living a life that allows us to be fully immersed and engaged. Letting go of your resistance will get you there. Without passion, however, you are not going to immerse yourself in anything! Haven't you noticed that you seldom, if ever, let go of control when you don't feel whole, complete and safe? I want you to think about this:
The difference between "pretending" and "being" is really nothing more that the degree of your surrender...And the intensity of your passion is how you measure those degrees.
Obviously for someone who pretends, the intensity of their passion only enables the limited degree of immersion which allows pretending.
On the other hand, when you are immersed and have fully surrendered to actually "being", the intensity of your passion has empowered and energized you to create a new reality. You have now truly "become" what you may have initially only pretended to be.
