From the "Passion Unlocks Prosperity" series:
Personal Growth: Part Two
Your journey into personal growth always leads you into discovering who you really are and what you really feel.
The first step of that journey is on the other side of your inner barrier, outside of your comfort zone. In order to discover your passion you must take steps to create a greater connection with your true self. This also means you must have the courage to let go of what you may consider to be your "self-control". Especially when it is now working against your best interest by actually limiting your life experience and thereby preventing your personal growth.
You must give yourself permission to experience what you need.
Trust yourself, you'll know what those things are. You will find that they are ideas and activities which will ultimately bring inner growth and good things into your life.
The process of "breaking through" a self imposed barrier is the real liberator, not necessarily the experience which causes the breakthrough. Dissolving the repressive barriers of knee-jerk opinions, attitudes and beliefs which no longer reflect who you think you are or how you feel, can be a life changing experience.
A new wave of energy and enthusiasm will enter into your life.
You will also begin to recognize new possibilities and opportunities.
Of course this is going to change things!. Inner growth always changes things... and usually for the better. Taking a chance to discover what brings you joy and fulfillment is going to require you to do some heavy lifting. You are going to have to move those internal barriers out of the way.
Outdated attitudes, opinions and beliefs carry a lot of mental and emotional weight.
Transforming them is going to require you to take action and expend energy. You may not immediately "see" how the energy and action is going to benefit you. This is something you usually only "see" that after the fact, after you've taken the action and invested the energy.
Just remember: Giving yourself permission to think, feel and do, is going to be a very powerful experience.
All by itself, Is it possible for you to make a mistake or two along the way. Personal growth seldom comes from always doing things the right way. It comes from the journey and the exploration. It's trial and error that teaches you what you need to know. Don't worry, you'll land on your feet. The important thing is to jump over that barrier!
Call it a "leap of faith"!
The day you run out of excuses
is the day your life changes...
